Get To Know Southern Exhibition Services
Allow us to introduce ourselves. We're the folks behind the scenes—and on the front line—who work hard to make sure your trade show is a huge success. If we haven't already met, we look forward to working with you.
Mark Crow, President
Mark Crow, owner of Southern Exhibition Services, is a native of Manistee, MI. He studied Criminal Justice at Grand Valley State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. Mark (more personally known as "Crow") has 16 years experience in the tradeshow industry and thrives off the idea of going that extra mile in every task. He started at ground level for Artcraft Display, Inc. hanging pipe and drape, rolling out carpet and throwing tables much like the duties of his employees today. The Michigan based company decided to expand and Mark seized the opportunity. He relocated to embark on his destined career at SES. During the first six years, Mark drilled his way through the ranks of Show Supervisor to Operations Manager to Assistant GM and finally, to General Manager in 2000. In 2003, Mark purchased the company from his Michigan predecessors and has been growing his dream ever since. As a manager, Mark has the opportunity to wear many different hats; one specialty includes senior level CAD draftsman. His commitment to excellence and dedication to customer service are what the foundation of his company is built upon.
Aimee Uhrig, Vice President
A transplant of the Washington, DC area, Aimee Uhrig moved to Raleigh in 1998. She joined the Southern Exhibition Services family the same year with a B.A. in English from Longwood University of Virginia. She began her journey in Exhibitor Services traveling to show sites and assisting vendors with their on-show needs. Over time, Aimee expanded her knowledge of the tradeshow industry and began drawing floor plans and preparing contracts as an Account Executive. She works very closely with many of the meeting planners and facility staff throughout North Carolina. When the company was purchased by Mark Crow in 2003, she was promoted to Vice President and works side by side with him in making sure SES customers always come first.
Frank Nixon, Operations Manager
Frank is one of the most highly requested Supervisors on the SES team. In 1995 he embarked upon what would become a 13 year climb to the top with no end in sight. His efficiency of running a crew during set-up, while keeping up with the ever changing needs of the promoter is second to none. He has a tremendous ability to survey a situation and execute the task with the least amount of interference. His charisma and natural leadership qualities are what earn him respect among his co-workers, clients and managers within the industry. Frank is originally from Brooklyn, New York. He studied business at Fresno State University while displaying his talents on the court with their basketball team.
Vince Pierce, Show Supervisor
The North Carolina State Fair is one of SES's longest running contracts. Vince Pierce is the man behind the show who brings it all together and makes things happen for SES. He dedicates the entire month of October providing unparalleled service exclusively to the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. His laid back personality and willingness to please the client is what keeps him at the top of his game. Vince is a staple to many of the longest running events in the history of Southern Exhibition Services. He has been with the company for 12 years and specializes in events such as the Mountain State Fair, The Dixie Deer Classic and the Arts and Crafts Antiques show in Asheville, NC. His move from hometown of Flint, Michigan in 1993 proved to be a significant one for the growth of SES.
